The new team structures will require or highly encourage paddlers to outrigger canoe. This Sunday would be a great opportunity for some of you to try it out. Mas will be doing it and we need several more to fill a novice. I will be there but will be in a different boat. You’ll be out on the water for about 45min or longer if you wish. If we signed up for Sunday practice with the Houston Heat would it still be possible to do both? With the 6am start maybe the boat could drop off the OC1 newbies a bit early to switch over?

If not do you recommend we go for the OC1 this Sunday instead?

Our DB practice will end up on Taylor Lake where TOCC launches from. The dragon boat will drop off those wanting to OC at the TOCC dock at 7:45am.

FYI, Cait & Tony chopped 6 1/2 hours off of their time from last year. They completed the 100 mile Colorado kayak race in 16 hours and 15 minutes. What a performance. Both were tired and sore but Cait had absolutely no problems associated with her breast cancer last year. Being physically fit is the best way to go.
