Some of you have already seen the email I sent below, but my teammates and I are really actively looking for a navigator. We are not too confident with our so-so navigation skills. We just met a girl whose team got lost for 5 hours in the woods at night!! Anyway...send me a priviate message, email or call me if you anybody...sorry for the long post.

Dear Friends,

I registered today for an adventure race scheduled on May 24. The race involves canoeing, mountain biking, swimming, rapelling, zip line, trekking and a lot of navigation skills. It is a 4-person team. However, we only have 3 so far. My teammates and I need someone who has VERY good navigation skills. No gps allowed. This person must be able to use the compass, altimeter, one of those basic roamer rulers or even the stars!!

If you know someone who might have the skill and who can lead the team dead on to the spot we are looking for, please forward this email to them. This race is a 24-hour race, so there will be some night time navigation skills involved. We need this person to be REALLY good at navigation and knows what he/she is doing. We dont want to get lost at night. Military training perhaps? Or maybe an engineer/geologist who do this for a living?

As you can see above, this person should be semi-athletic because though we can assist him in other disciplines, he also has to walk and carry his own weight for 24 hours. I am personally hoping that we can finish in 20 hours (at the most!).

So if you know a person who will be willing to do an adventure race with us here in Texas on May 24 with GREAT navigation skills, please let me know! It would be much appreciated. I'll buy you an ice cream

Thanks,

Victorina Piccio
