All paddlers must meet at the Houston Heat tent at 7:00am.
The ENTIRE team has to check in with race officials. If the ENTIRE team is not present, we can get disqualified from the preliminaries!!!

For those of you racing in Austin, below are important updates regarding the hotel, race day schedule, logistics, etc. This post will be updated through the week, up to race day. This information is also emailed to everyone on the roster - if you're not receiving these messages, send a message to Jen.

Friday Night Team Dinner

Friday Night Team Meeting:
Hotel lobby @ 9:30pm
This meeting is MANDATORY if you are arriving in Austin on Friday. We will distribute the race & event shirts, give parking information, make last minute announcements, and Hau will make some pre-race comments to the Team. If you are arriving in Austin on Saturday morning, please contact me so we can arrange to give you your shirt and other information.

Things to bring with you to the Race Site (recommended)
- folding chair or blanket (*the festival is NOT providing any chairs or tables*)
- towel
- change of clothes
- bug spray
- sunblock
- cash (if you want to buy chinese food from the Asian American Community Center)

What Houston Heat is providing
- Lunch on Saturday (guests pay $5)
- Snacks, Energy Bars, fruit
- Gatorade & water
- Team tent

What you are responsible for
- Dinner on Friday night
- Hotel room fees
- Breakfast on Saturday
- Dinner after the race on Saturday

Meals
Houston Heat will provide lunch to members on Saturday.
If you are a member, then the lunch is no cost (it is included in your $25 Austin event fee). Paddlers will receive a lunch ticket. Guests can purchase a lunch ticket for $5.
Lunch ticket = 1 hamburger, 1 hot dog, 1 bag of chips, and 1 drink.

The Asian American Cultural Center of Austin will be selling Chinese food at the race. They will be the only food vendor on site.

Guests
Guests are welcome to join us under the Houston Heat tent, and cheer the team on!! The HH lunch for guests is $5. There will also be Chinese food available at the race.
