Thanks to everyone who came out last Saturday for the 2008 Houston Heat Kick Off event! Although the day started out a little chilly, a total of 55 paddlers showed up to help celebrate the start of the 2008 season!

The morning was filled with early morning registration, opening remarks from President Minh and pre-workout stretches. Everyone was divided into three boats, then Coaches Albert, Bao and Loc led their boats through some practice drills and paddling. For the grand finale, there was a final 200m race between all three boats.....with Coach Albert's boat as the winner!

Afterwards, everyone met back on land for lunch and a Q&A session with the Coaches. It was great to see familiar faces, and even more exciting to see new faces!! Practices will begin in early March, so be sure to check the website for updates and to register for practices!!
