Only ONE day left before 24 well trained, excited and carb-loaded Houston Heat paddlers make their way to Tampa for the National Dragon Boat Championships!!   Is everyone excited or what?

The carb-loading dinner at Spaghetti Warehouse was a great time for Tampa-bound paddlers and friends to hang out, relax and celebrate all the training we've put in the past several months.   We also got a chance to review important on-site logistics and race schedule - according to Coach Minh, we're scheduled for 5 races total during Saturday and Sunday.   

Other announcements were the Houston Heat chant and the Houston Heat race shirts!   First, the chant.  Winning with the most votes was:

HEAT IT UP, HEAT IT UP, HEAT IT UP, HOUSTON!!

(Submitted by Mr. Chunky, who will also present a choreographed dance routine to accompany the team chant.  We can't wait!) 

Also, the Houston Heat race shirts were distributed!   Coach Bao models the sleeveless dry-fit version.
